A Poem: Despondency

Swam across bleak and murky seas,

only to find oneself trapped in the debris

Held one’s breath through the foggy scenes,

from strange creatures lurking in the fields

Screamed and howled from years of sorrow,

laid in shadows that was once borrowed

Where ill-minded people become thoughts,

and thoughts become bona fide figures and frauds

Thieves of sunshine and merry minds,

this- is where one’s body lies

An inescapable place of an unfortunate fate,

finding toxic voices that one creates

From the scarps of the past and undesired faces;

you’ll find me there pacing through my own phases.
